This week, we concluded the debate on the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill 2013 – Report Stage as well as the Thirty Second Amendment of the Constitution (Abolition of Seanad Éireann) Bill 2013 – Report Stage.
We also, finally after some 1,100 days of two Governments debating it, concluded the important Construction Contracts Bill 2010 which was actually started by Senator Feargal Quinn, something that both he and the Seanad should get credit for.
Finally, we debated the Thirty Third Amendment of the Constitution (Court of Appeal) Bill 2013 which was passed unanimously.
This ends the term of the Oireachtas. It has been the longest term since the 1980s and has shown our dedication as a Government to making many changes in a considered and thoughtful way.
