€8,731 in funding Announced for Dublin Bay North Men’s Sheds

I have welcomed the news, announced by Minister Michael Ring, that 6 branches of Men’s Sheds in Dublin Bay North will receive funding under the Community Enhancement Programme.

The increased funding will benefit many regions of the constituency. This will allow Men’s Sheds to continue the valuable work they do and provide more facilities for their members.

Marino and Fairview will receive €1,000 for computing equipment.
Artane will receive €1,700 for bowling mats.
Baldoyle have secured €1,771 for timber, paint and building equipment.
Priorswood will also be given a combined €2,012 for musical instruments and a laptop.
Ayrfield and An Cuspior branches will receive €1,248 and €1,000 for general equipment, respectively.

Organisations such as Men’s Sheds play an important role in our communities. The funding announced this morning, will allow them to offer new and enhanced services for people in our area. It is important that we continue to support groups and organisations that in turn provide support for others.
