Moss St, Gloucester St and Townsend St

There are plans for the refurbishment of Dublin City Council flats in the Moss St, Gloucester St and Townsend St area. Architects are currently drawing up plans and these will be brought before the elected councillors at the January South East Area Meeting.

Precinct Improvement Works

Catherine was recently asked by residents to update them on the progress with Precinct Improvement Works. She looks forward to working with local communities to make sure they are fully consulted and are able to have an input into any works in their area. Given the current budget problems facing the government she will be working with Fine Gael Councillors and TDs to ensure that these go ahead.

George Reynolds House

Contractors to start work Monday the 17th of November 2008. Duration 70 weeks.

Whelan/O’Rahilly House

Tender advertised. Expected start date, February 2009. Duration 75 weeks.

Bishop Street

Tender documents expected to be issued in December 2008. Possible start date Summer 2009.

Macken Villas

Final drawings are being prepared. Consultation with residents almost complete. Expected date for tender documents, Spring 2009.

Markievicz House

Precinct improvement consultation complete. Part 8 process complete. Complex being examined with a possible view to re-modelling/refurbishment of dwellings.

Canon Mooney Gardens

Detailed drawings being prepared.Consultation with residents ongoing.
